We had dinner here two nights in a row, and the hotel itself is beautiful, with fantastic views from its location. It was very quiet at night, and our room was spotlessly clean. The walk into Karlovy Vary and back was a great 15 km round trip, and the hotel is perfectly close to the city. I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could. The bed was worn out, and each of us slept in our own dip in the mattress foam. Breakfast was great on the first day, with lots of choice and attentive staff. On day two there was less variety, and the staff didn’t replenish the food or dishes. People who arrived later had very little to eat or drink, and nothing to put it on.

Just a few kilometres outside Karlovy Vary, this campsite and restaurant sits at the top of Veitsberg, in lovely surroundings with lots to do outdoors: hiking, cycling, MTB, and trail running. We ate at the restaurant and bar every evening, enjoying a few genuine Czech lagers with dinner. The food was amazing, nicely presented and served, and the friendly staff looked after us incredibly well. Special thanks to Irina, Johanka, and Mira. Highly recommended, and we’ll certainly come back.

The scenery was amazing when we visited in late September. Reality required, even though it’s close to an airport, with very few fights. I’ll definitely be back.

The view was fabulous and the staff were nice, but the room was very cold. It got down to 13 degrees outside at night and the room was no warmer than 15. They should have found some way to heat it, at least for a few hours.

The breakfast was good, though nothing special, and I really recommend heading up the hill to watch the sunset. We found the hotel on booking.cz after seeing lots of good reviews and decided to stay. At arrival, we paid the spa tax, and the receptionist said she’d give us a receipt the next day. We were surprised but assumed that was how they did things there. The next day a different receptionist was on duty. When we asked her for the receipt, she said there was nothing in the system and that according to it, we hadn’t paid. It did all work out in the end, and the second receptionist was kind, but the whole thing felt very unprofessional. I recommend insisting on getting the receipt right away.
