Hostel U Kožovy Hory Kladno

We have people staying here, and they’re happy with it. The place is clean and quiet, and the accommodation is excellent.

I stayed there for almost a year. It’s a beautiful, scenic spot near the road, and it’s clean and tidy. The kitchen is good, there’s a big lounge with a TV, and each floor has showers and toilets. But the staff are a disaster. They show no respect and walk into your room without asking. There are lots of illegal immigrants, and Czechs watch hockey without asking, while we’re not allowed to talk on the phone. Residents are treated like dogs. Come back from work at 10:40 p.m. and find the kitchen closed, so you sit down to eat in the lobby, and then this woman or man acts like a dog, saying he can’t rest! On Saturday I was sitting outside at a table with a girl, and she called the police, saying it wasn’t allowed after 10 p.m. I don’t recommend it.

The rooms stink, the toilet and kitchen are untidy, and the internet is unreliable. The staff are awful, one is a completely unpleasant animal. They won’t let me in after 10 a.m. And worst of all, I was cheated out of 1,400 crowns.

The kitchen is only on the ground floor, so carrying all your cooking things up from the second floor is a hassle. Also, there’s no hot or even warm water in the evenings because the boilers can’t handle that many people. It’s a decent hostel, but I think the price is a little high, though I might be wrong: 5,100 crowns a month for three people sharing a room.
