Penzion Hájovna

Our room was cozy and the guesthouse sits in a nice location, but the cold in the rooms still seems to be an ongoing problem, judging by recent articles. The old furniture could use some care. In the bathroom, the shelves under the mirror were crooked and unusable, and cracked tiles looked sharp enough to cut someone. It didn't seem like management cared. There are several rooms and a large common room. Upstairs in the hall there's a small children's corner, but it was so cold there it seemed useful only as decoration, or in summer. The fridge never worked during our stay, despite a promise to fix it, and with 18 people that was a serious problem. The dishwasher blew the fuses, so we couldn't use that either. The sauna and pool were meant to be included in the rental, but they were out of order. From the window, the area looked like a big mess nobody wanted to clean up. None of the problems we reported were addressed. When the owner arrived, he asked what we wanted, then said he'd come back from Italy and it was colder there than here for 150€ a night. Maybe he should think about whether we and the other guests help pay for his stay in Italy. The nice surroundings are overshadowed by an unwilling, arrogant owner.

The gamekeeper's lodge is lovely and sits in a nice spot, and the owner was very pleasant. The kitchen has everything you need, with a large fridge, a smaller one, a microwave, and more, much like at home. It was very cold in the room and common room, though the owner left an electric heater that sorted it out. That's why I'm taking off a star. Otherwise, I recommend it.

We celebrated my 30th birthday at Hájovná, and it was such a cozy guesthouse in a beautiful natural setting. The arrangements with the owners were perfect. If you're after a pleasant stay surrounded by nature, I'd absolutely recommend it. The kids didn't even feel the need to look at their phones :-)))

🙂 The guesthouse has a great location, well-arranged rooms, lots of parking, a big hallway for changing, and a spacious common room. 🙁 The kitchen was poorly equipped: no oven, hardly any storage, and the coffee machine didn't work. Communication with the owners was very poor. The gentleman answered my first email quickly and clearly, but was unpleasant on the phone. When we asked for the sauna around eight in the evening, he started asking if I also go to the cinema at eight and said he needed to know exactly. On arrival, the owner just handed over the keys, gave us a quick tour, and no other instructions. Before we left, she sent a message about the departure time through the worker at the cottage, even though she had our phone number. I don't recommend staying here because of their approach.
