The food was astonishing, with incredible breakfasts and even better dinners. Quite often it came close to what some people call gourmet cuisine. Svetlana and Pavel were wonderful hosts, dedicated and always striving to do things well. Their company was always appreciated, thank you for everything! The location works in both summer and winter, close to the slopes of Harrachov and also the cross-country skiing spots in Jizerka and Jakuszyce. One of the best guesthouses I’ve visited, perhaps the best. If I come back, I won’t look elsewhere. Returning to Penzion Kaiser feels like visiting old friends. Special regards to Guy de Maupassant and Kulička :)

I don’t recommend this hotel. I say it’s badly secured, with wolfdogs on the grounds that the owners breed there. I believe the breed is territorial and can defend its space aggressively, so I don’t think it’s suitable for a hotel with guests. My wife and dog were attacked and bitten by one of the owners’ dogs. The police and owners apparently dropped the case, but I said it would soon go to court over my wife’s injury. We left the hotel, but it had been booked through Booking and paid automatically. I say the hotel canceled our visit, so we couldn’t leave feedback on the Booking site. I called the owners clever and liars here. I still say the place is dangerous and they don’t control their dogs. My dog being bitten wasn’t my first dog bite. After the incident, the owner went for a walk with the dogs and didn’t call for anything. Avoid this hotel.
