The owner was friendly and ready to help, and the rooms were clean and peaceful. Our daughter also had a lovely dog for company throughout the stay. He could be taken away if dogs aren’t your thing, but we were happy to have him around ☺️. We’d gladly come back.

There’s a restaurant downstairs, with outdoor seating. It serves breakfast and dinner by arrangement, and opening depends on the weather and how many people are around. The farmhouse itself is old but renovated, with stylishly furnished rooms. Ours was spacious, with a fridge and a small bathroom, plus a smaller upstairs room that would suit children. There’s also a nicely equipped shared kitchenette in the hallway. Rooms sleep four, with an extra bed available. The owners have lovely dogs and horses that children can feed and pet by arrangement. The owner was pleasant, too.....

We keep coming back for training camps with my students, and the owners have always been so accommodating. It’s affordable for us, with the space, cleanliness, and peace we need. We’ve been doing this for several years now and love returning.

Chmelovice is tiny, just a handful of houses, so there’s nothing much in the village. The nearest shop is in Lodín, which also has a great swimming pool and campsite. I’d suggest arriving in the evening, sleeping over, and setting off again in the morning. The guesthouse is simply furnished but clean, and the beds are comfortable. There’s no TV. In the room there’s a small fridge, double bed, table, chairs, wardrobe, bedside tables, bathroom, and three daybeds. Downstairs is a pub with outdoor seating that stays open until around evening. This place works well for a night’s rest. The owners treated guests really well.
