Penzion Menšík

We were happy with our stay. The rooms were clean, and each bed had a hand towel, bath towel, and hygiene items. There was enough small kitchen equipment, and the view over the square was beautiful. We can recommend this accommodation with a clear conscience.

There’s another place to stay right in the town center. Parking is available in front of the building for a fee.

I’m completely satisfied, everything was really great. I highly recommend it.

This was a horrible experience from the first interaction. A notice on the closed entrance door said to call the listed number for accommodation or ask the newsagent staff next door. Inside the newsagent, there was an older man with a shot of alcohol on the counter and, given that it was 3 pm, what seemed like many more already in him. A man in front of us got a key and was sorting out a room breakdown for two people, apparently a worker who only went there to sleep. When I asked the older woman at the till if we could stay with a small dog, she said she had nothing available. I pointed out that Booking showed a room with windows for a deputy, and she got angry, saying Booking was useless and she simply didn’t have time off. After I thanked her and said I’d look elsewhere, she searched a shelf and checked the monitor, then said she might have room number eight free. I still declined. She literally shouted that there was nowhere else available and I wouldn’t have a chance with a dog anywhere in Kroměříž. If she was only an employee, she did the owner a great disservice. We found four other hotels right in the center that offered us a room, and the dog wasn’t a problem. We ended up with a beautiful room overlooking the square, a wonderful receptionist, and delicious breakfast in lovely surroundings. I’d rather pay a few thousand more to feel comfortable and welcome. I’m really glad I checked the accommodation in person because of the dog before booking through Booking.com.
