A big plus is the terrace overlooking the garden and playground. The guesthouse sits in the forest near the German border, a cozy base for hikers, with very good value for the price. Rooms were tidy, with furniture and linen up to a high standard, and the bathroom was more than okay. Breakfast was included and delicious, though the selection wasn’t very varied. The train passing right beside the pension was the downside.

I only got to stay one night, but this was such a lovely, cozy place, with good beer and peaceful surroundings. If I need somewhere to stay in Šumov again, I’ll check here first. Being so far from a connection might be a downside for some, though you can usually find a signal somewhere.
