Penzion s restaurací "U MLÝNA"

We were hungry and stopped at the restaurant downstairs, though we weren’t staying there. The food was good and the price was absolutely fair. I ordered the COUNTRY neck after the man at the bar explained it came with bacon and corn. I left out some ingredients because of health reasons, and soon we had the meal with potatoes. The meat was very overcooked and didn’t look like the neck I’d pictured, though it didn’t taste bad, and we ate it because we were hungry. There wasn’t anything on tap, only drinks from the fridge in a glass or tin, which wasn’t what we wanted. Then a cyclist arrived, and the man said he could get tap water from the girls next door at the window. We hadn’t known about that, so I was glad he poured me a glass of clean tap water.

We were in and out in 30 minutes, including paying, though we sat and chatted for a bit too. The daily menu with a drink was so cheap that I can’t remember the last time I ate for so little. The food was warm, I ate, and saved money. The restaurant is in an old house with such thick walls that no signal gets through, not even a knock. It’s bliss to have no signal or data for a while. 💫💫💫💫

They cancelled our booking the day before the wedding, without a second thought. They said it was because we were arrogant, which wasn’t true. We’d been communicating well for 14 days, and they hadn’t complained about anything. Anyone planning a celebration or a stay at the guesthouse should think carefully.

After we’d reserved, we called the owner when we arrived, but he didn’t answer. Everything was closed, so after ringing the bell and waiting 20 minutes, we gave up and went to look for somewhere else. The owner then called to ask where we were. When we said we’d gone elsewhere, he threatened to call them and make sure they wouldn’t accommodate us. That was the end of the conversation. Don’t go there.
