Chic Central Charles Bridge

It’s a historic building, which gives the hotel a distinctive feel. The room was clean, roomy, and cozy. My only small annoyance was that the power outlets were awkwardly placed, though I understand that’s part of staying in an old building. The location was great for visiting the castle and Mala strana, as well as the old town across Charles bridge. Breakfast was a decent standard buffet, and I especially liked the chocolate cake.

The room was really quiet and very comfortable, and breakfast had a wide range of choices. I especially appreciated that they set aside a space for gluten free options, since I can’t eat gluten. Thanks to everyone on staff for being so courteous and attentive during our stay. A particular thank you to the young woman and young man working at breakfast, who were always smiling and ready to help.

You’re a minute from the Charles Bridge, with everything else no more than a 30 minute walk away. It might sound far, but it really isn’t. The location is right in Prague’s center, and the rooms are nice and clean. Cleaning did a good job, though they forgot to top up the shampoo. Service could be better, and the bar downstairs can be noisy. Apart from that, it’s a perfect place to visit Prague, which was beautiful.

We had a lovely four day visit to Prague at the Charles Hotel. It’s in Lesser Town, so it’s quieter, while still being walkable to both the castle and old town. The bed was very comfortable, breakfast was really good, and the staff were friendly. One thing to check with the front desk is the height of the bath. Ours was very high and difficult to get into, which could be a problem for older guests or anyone under 158cm. I’d definitely recommend the hotel.
