Chata Pod Vlekem

I was very satisfied, and the surrounding nature is absolutely breathtaking 💚. It’s quiet, with a beautiful view through the large windows. This isn’t a luxury hotel, but I’d recommend it to anyone who doesn’t need fancy accommodation 😊😁. The receptionist was very kind, too. Parking uses a unique QR code that lets you enter and leave throughout your stay, and there’s a huge parking lot. The apartments sit high on a hill right by the ski slope, with mountain rescue, a hotel and restaurant, and a bus stop just a few meters away. I picked a room where the bed wouldn’t be beside the stove 😀, so we had an upstairs sleeping area. Downstairs there was a nice hallway with shoe rack and hangers, a bathroom, and a living space with kitchenette and dining table. Upstairs there was the sleeping area and a desk for working. There were lots of cupboards and storage throughout. The kitchen had the basics, though it was a shame some dishes had been left poorly washed by previous visitors. I was delighted to find VHS tapes and videos, but couldn’t find a scart or cinch cable, so we didn’t watch anything 🙈🙂. I also appreciated the waste sorting.

This is a beautiful place to stay, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I’ve been twice this summer and will probably come back. It’s a perfect base for exploring the Jesennik Mountains. There’s a restaurant next door serving excellent Holba beer, and parking is included in the price. I recommend it.

The apartment was warm and clean, with enough equipment for our stay and a place to store our skis. The staff were kind and helpful, and the slopes are close by. I’d recommend it.

We keep coming back because it’s peaceful here and has a nice atmosphere. There’s a little playground nearby for kids, and at least two restaurants in the neighboring buildings, though there isn’t one in the accommodation itself. The apartments have a kitchenette with basic utensils and equipment. What’s there is older but works fine and is enough for us. Just don’t expect luxuries like a flat screen TV with HDMI input or a coffee maker.
