Olivin Kytlice

We really appreciated having our own seating and eating space by the clean, roomy hiker huts, so we could have our own meals instead of going to the restaurant. The shared bathrooms are modern, and the restaurant food is good and reasonably priced. Staff even let us have a campfire outside and supplied skewers for the meat, which earned them five stars from us. One thing, the hut beds creak loudly with even the smallest movement, like turning over 😅

We used this lovely place for a few days as a base for exploring nearby. The owners made our stay a real treat, and the hotel itself is nice. The local restaurant is worth a visit too: we loved the grilled chicken and fillet mignon. They were still moving in and didn’t have the right equipment for cocktails, so we can’t comment on those. A great stay.

There’s plenty to do around Olivin: nature at Czech Switzerland or Panska Skala, history at Sloup and other castles and ruins, or shopping in Liberec’s old center or Forum. We also enjoyed sitting on the terrace with a Pilsner Urquell or Kozel and Czech or Dutch snacks. Back at the hotel, our room was spacious and clean, with a TV, kettle, refrigerator, and a lovely modern bathroom. Free Wi-Fi throughout and plenty of outlets were a big plus. The food is superb, especially the homemade burger, which is a classic for me, and the staff are very friendly. I’ll be back and will recommend Olivin to friends and family.

The owners made us feel very welcome. Our room and bathroom were lovely and clean, and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
