Vlkova Palace

The reception ladies had a lovely welcome package ready for us, and they made us feel really welcome. We had asked beforehand about bringing our bicycles and parking them safely, and they sorted it all out. The rooms were clean, the restaurant options nearby were affordable, and the place is just outside the city center, under a 10-minute walk from the train station. We travel a lot, and this welcome was really, really great. I’ll stop here, you should just book this lovely place.

I stayed at this hotel last weekend and really want to praise the staff. They were amazing and caring. In a big city full of possibilities, I can only imagine how hard it must be to find such talented, passionate colleagues.

The bed was comfortable, the flat was very quiet, and I liked the paintings on the walls. It had three rooms, one bathroom, and an attached kitchen with all the crockery, and there’s a grocery store opposite. I booked it on 23 October 2017. The main problem was finding the place, since all the streets and buildings look alike. We took a cab from the bus station and it cost 25 Czech koruna. Some signs outside the property and along the street would make it easier to reach the right place.

The price is really good for what you get. The apartments are new and have all the things you might need, and the receptionist speaks English. It’s about a 20-minute normal walk to the old town.
