The view across all the Ore mountain peaks is splendid, and the place has a great restaurant, indoor pool, and clean, modern rooms with nice decor. The staff are great too. Just keep it quiet, okay? If people from all over the Czech Republic and Germany find this hideaway, it won't feel secret anymore.

I turned up without a reservation while touring by motorbike, and the GM found me an apartment for one night. It was clean, the bed was fantastic, and the price was above average, though the hotel's location and especially the sunset view made it understandable. The restaurant had its ups and downs. Lentil soup was listed as soup of the day, but after I ordered, they said it had run out and offered potato soup instead. I ended up getting lentil soup after all. My rump steak with beans and napkin dumplings was fine apart from the steak, which was very chewy and didn't seem to be a rump cut. The service handled my comment well and offered a solution. I kept the dish because I didn't want it wasted; it tasted good, so the only real problem was extra work for my teeth. The sauce struck me as pork rather than beef, but it went fine with the dumplings and beans. I'd consider coming back if I tour that area again.

The bathroom and kitchen areas have heated floors, with a heater by the bed, and our room got too warm during the stay. There's plenty on site: parking, a spa pool, sauna, whirlpool, and a playground for children. Breakfast was good, the restaurant was enjoyable, and the beer was great. Pets are allowed, and the hotel is close to both downhill slopes and cross-country trails.

Right beside a ski resort on Plešivec mountain, at 1,028 metres above sea level, this hotel has a lot going for it. There's private parking for guests, breakfast included, and a playroom for children. The staff were very friendly, and everything was clean. Our room was spacious, with long, very comfortable beds and its own little kitchen, including dishes, a fridge, coffee machine, dishwasher, and cooker. The restaurant food was delicious, and the swimming pool was very nice and warm, with a jacuzzi and sauna too. For a hotel with those features in the Karlovy Vary region, it's one of the best options. I'd put it among the best hotels in the Czech Republic.
