Apartmán Lípa Mikulov

We’re back several times each year for the wine, lovely setting, great staff, and wonderful owners of the apartments, wine shop, and stall. The welcome, atmosphere, and comfort are hard to beat. I recommend it 200% 🙏🏼☀️

There’s plenty of room to relax here, and I managed to exercise every morning. The wine shop right by the rooms was open during my stay, so I went there for a glass instead of using the chilled bottles in the fridge. It only opens on some days, but the stand across the road is open every day, which is brilliantly thought out. I also enjoyed the Lípa wine and am already planning another visit. The room was lovely and clean, with a comfortable bed and a huge shower. The kitchen is tiny but does the job. I liked having a front garden to sit in with a bottle of wine, even in the rain, plus a large garden outside. It’s a quiet spot, about 12 minutes from the center and four minutes from the quarry, which is great on hot days. Both owners are wonderful, and the woman at the wine shop is lovely too. This has been my best accommodation in recent years. I recommend it and can’t wait to return!

The only good parts were their wine and the nice young man who served it. Everything else left a really bad impression. There are only two parking spaces, and after a tiring trip with the children we couldn’t find anywhere to park because visitors to the local wine bar had taken them. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this for a stay with kids. I felt awful that we’d brought them somewhere so depressing. Apartment No. 2 had a room with no proper windows, just a cellar window, so on hot days and nights there was no way to air it out. The equipment was dated, and some things were completely broken. The garden could have been nice, except the “neighbors” walked through it. When we opened the grill, we found a wasp nest. Nobody checks it. A nice young man replaced the grill after we asked, but wasps kept flying around it, probably because they were used to nesting there. DO NOT BOOK Apartment No. 2!

We liked our stay, especially since we got the last available apartment and nobody was walking over us, so it was peaceful. The shared kitchen was the one downside. Also, there was a blood stain on the mattress, which the cleaners seem to have missed when they changed the bed.
