Hotel Marcincak***

Traveling with kids, we really appreciated the room layout, and the beds were comfortable. There was a wide choice at breakfast, and it was delicious. The staff were very friendly and the service was extremely good. A perfect stop on the way to Italy.

Lavender will always remind me of this hotel now. The rooms and hotel interior really impressed me, and they gave us a bottle of local wine as a parting gift, which we liked. Breakfast was fantastic, and they even serve wine in the morning. There’s enclosed parking for the car, which matters. We stopped for one night on our way to Croatia, expecting a basic roadside hostel, but found a very decent luxury hotel with all the amenities. The staff were polite and kind. They speak English, and understand Russian too, making an effort to help guests feel comfortable. I recommend stopping here if you’re nearby.

The hotel stayed quiet and cozy despite being close to a busy road, and the location is really convenient. Rooms are very spacious too. I fully recommend staying here in Mikulov.

We never even got to try the food. Before we could enter or sit down, a woman stopped us outside the restaurant and told us to pick from a menu limited to two courses. It was irritating and felt unwelcoming. In all my travels, I’ve never had to choose my meal before going in and sitting at a table. They’re closed during the week and open on weekends, which gives some idea of the restaurant’s performance and food quality. Very, very poor service.
