The pool was the highlight for us: warm, a good size, and it kept our son Felix happily swimming for five hours on the first day. The apartment is simple and modest, but it has plenty of charm, and we loved the Hungarian prices. We did arrive to a swarm of flying ants in the summer. Our host, a cheerful woman in her 60s, came over out of breath and smiling, and was unfazed by the language gap. She spoke neither English nor German, but another woman called my wife and kindly went over the formalities in English. After that, everything went smoothly. It was a very pleasant stay, and our family now insists every place we stay has a pool.

I’d only consider staying here if every other place was full. There’s no air conditioning, the pool is for private use only, and no one speaks English. Worse, staff entered our room while we were out visiting the city. There was an extra bed set up, and when we got back from our tour, all the clothes, underwear, and personal things we’d left on it had been moved so the sheets could be taken off. The same happened to our friends. Someone must have handled my belongings one by one, and I hated that. Think twice before booking. I don’t recommend this place.

The apartment was really spacious, and they brought breakfast right to our room. We enjoyed our stay.

The location worked well, about a 15-minute walk from the Old Town. I gave it four stars because a warm room mattered to me. It wasn’t very warm when we arrived, but I asked them to turn on the heating and that helped. A kettle in the room would have been useful, though for one night it was fine.

For the price, it’s a great spot. The room was good enough, and all the restaurants in the city center are only five minutes away.
