Pension Fajka

I spent 14 days in Czechia, staying somewhere different each night. Would I say this was good value, return, or recommend it? Definitely not. The most concerning part was being asked to leave cash in an unlocked room. They then refused to give me a receipt. I wrote twice and was blocked. There were no plugs by either bed or by the bedside lights, and no plug in the sink. The pillows and duvet smelled of cigarette smoke. The synthetic bottom sheet irritated me, so I took it off. There was no shampoo or soap. A disgusting, intolerable toilet smell came into the shower area from the room below, so we had to keep the door shut. We could clearly hear snoring from downstairs, too. It was cold in April, and there were no instructions for the electric radiator. Nobody was on site to ask. No air conditioning or fan, and the curtains let the light in very early. See the patio area photo.

The bedsheets smelled bad, and the bathroom was a complete mess. They require cash payment and don’t provide a receipt. It’s noisy too, you can hear the people upstairs.

I asked for updates about the Covid restrictions and whether they had a baby cot. The response was to ask me to cancel my reservation because I supposedly didn’t trust them. Very bad, strange service. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want to avoid disappointment.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fajka. The apartment was clean and nice, and the location was great. We can definitely recommend it.
