The electric bike facilities were awful, with restricted access and dog mess all around. We also found that only one of the two rooms we’d booked was available, since the other one had extended its stay. At check-in, a small, cheeky girl greeted us with the manners of a butcher’s dog. The welcome drink was some sort of spoiled currant passed off as quality mulled wine. The place isn’t wheelchair accessible, either. I’m really sorry to leave such a bad review after so long, but I can’t recommend it.

Out on the edge of Mikulov, the place is quiet and the rooms are clean, with a lovely vineyard view. The owner was very pleasant. I’d happily stay here again.

We had a great stay, and the wine was excellent. The rooms are cosy, and the guesthouse is in a handy spot right beside the bowling restaurant. The owner was wonderful and helped us with everything. When our bike broke on one of the local cycle paths, he fixed it and even drove us back from the path to the guesthouse. Thanks, Mr. and Mrs. Mach, for an unforgettable visit. Ten out of ten from me.

The car was safely behind a gate that opens and closes automatically, and everything was very neat and clean. There’s a beautiful vineyard view from the lovely terrace, too. He knows lots of great places and personally recommends them, along with a delicious local wine. English was a little tricky sometimes, though we managed to communicate about Mikulov’s highlights. It’s a beautiful village, and I’d definitely recommend staying overnight. A 10/10, thanks for everything!
