A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel "Penzion Alva 2" is located in Mikulov. This hotel is located in the city center. In the morning, have a cup of coffee while looking at the city from the window. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel — Brno Trade and Fair Centre, Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul and Spilberk Castle.

The setting felt warm and family-like, and the owner was friendly, quick to respond, and spoke good English. We could arrive whenever we liked, even in the middle of the night, using a code sent ahead of time. There’s a grocery store close by, with Mikulov castle in the other direction, and a few restaurants near the roundabout by the old town. Our dog was welcome too. The rooms could use a little more soundproofing, but at this price, that seemed fair. A great place to stay on a trip, and I’d recommend it to other travelers.

The location is really good, but I spent one night here this summer and was greeted by a dirty towel. Breakfast was available, though I nearly forgot about it.

The rooms were clean, though pretty basic, and they get hot when the weather is warm. Parking was stressful: cars blocked one another in, leaving guests to sort out who could get out.
