Horský Hotel Lipový

We had our wedding at the hotel, and the owner made arranging everything easy and helped us make it as close to our wishes as possible. The food was amazing, both lunch and the banquet, and the service was pleasant. There were plenty of rooms for our guests, plus a gym for the children. The reception spaces were large and especially nice in summer, and the ceremony spot had a beautiful view of the Beskydy Mountains.

We’ve never stayed at the hotel, but our experience with the owner means we would never choose to go there. My mother and her boyfriend had been walking nearby and wanted to stop for coffee. The hotel was closed, so they sat on a bench to rest, took out a snack and a thermos of coffee, and the owner came running out that morning, shouting at them to leave and saying they were on someone else’s property and had no business there. There was no sign saying it was private property. They were two adults resting after a walk, and they’d said they wanted to visit the hotel. They hadn’t done anything wrong. It’s sad that this was their experience. We’ll avoid the place and won’t be back. The owner should think about his behavior. Never again.

The owner and staff deserve our thanks. It was clear they put their hearts into it, and the guests had only positive feedback. We arranged the ceremony, reception and accommodation for most of our guests at the Lipový Mountain Hotel, and were very happy with everything. Although another event was taking place the day before, we could bring our things early and decorate the hall ahead of time, which saved us from a rushed morning. Arranging with the owner was great, and there was no issue setting up a hookah corner. The food was tasty, with a large selection and excellent presentation. The staff were smiling all through the event, and we could celebrate past midnight. In the morning, the cheerful team welcomed us with breakfast.

About 75 of us celebrated our wedding here, roughly the hotel’s full capacity. The big hall, with its parquet floor and bar, worked perfectly for all our guests, and in good weather there’s a lovely place to sit outside the hotel with a mountain view. The owner was great, very helpful, and gave advice from his experience. Everything was easy to arrange. Lunch and the banquet were amazing, and vegetarian lunch options were prepared for some guests, so everyone was happy. The rooms are fine for a wedding overnight, even when you only sleep two or three hours :D We’re really satisfied. It’s a perfect place. Thank you, and we recommend it!
