Awful. Dirty. Disgusting.
The room was dirty, with stains on the carpet, bugs on the bathroom floor, and hair blocking the shower drain so water wouldn't run away. Some of the bed slats were broken, and the walls did little to keep noise out. We could hear everything. Around 1 a.m., a drunk man woke us up several times, knocking on the door. He said he was "reception" and wanted to pay and check our IDs. We kept the door shut, but he came back repeatedly and tried the other rooms too. I couldn't go elsewhere because I was there for the Superbike races and there were no rooms available. Dirt, bugs, and drunks. I strongly don't recommend it.
The owner was easy to communicate with and let us check in at 13:00 without any trouble. An 11:00 checkout is above standard in my experience. We arrived late at night for the Most festivals, and for the price this place worked well for one night. The beds were clean and smelled fresh, the bathroom was tidy, and the room had a fridge and kettle. The furniture is old, but that didn't matter for a night of sleep. The room door is the real problem, it lets noise through and you can hear everything. Nearby there's a motel with great food and an overpriced microbrewery.
Please avoid the arch! We only stayed one night and wanted to sleep before leaving in the morning, but the place was dirty, smelly, moldy, and a mess. The price didn't match the quality, and it felt like an old, dirty hostel rather than a guesthouse. Dust was everywhere, the floor hadn't been washed, the mugs were cracked and dirty, and the windows were unwashed. One bed seemed to have springs and was very uncomfortable, while the others were Valenda-style beds. The worst part was the shower, where grime and mold came out. It looked as if the cleaner had last been there the year before. Later we read online that bedbugs and other bugs had appeared at this hostel. After I called the manager, she said that, as compensation for the poor accommodation, we could shower in another room. They told us we'd been given one of their best rooms. I hope anyone considering staying here, especially people who paid extra for another guesthouse, sees this review. I wouldn't want anyone else to have this experience.
The room was clean and had everything needed for a stay, including a fridge, kettle, dishes, and TV. The bedding was snow white and clean. There’s also a pool table, darts, coffee machine, and shared kitchen at the guesthouse. It's close to town, with parking right outside.
