Luxury Spa & Wellness Hotel Prezident

I’ve stayed here twice, and for the price it’s a good hotel with friendly staff. The rooms are okay. The AC equipment didn’t work, but luckily the weather wasn’t too hot. The spa and pool are good, though something always seems to be out of order. Medical treatments were good, and the staff were accommodating. Food was good too, even if the selection wasn’t broad. I would have given five stars, but a few days before I left, a group of three arrived and were treated like VIPs in front of everyone else. They were served off-menu à la carte meals while the rest of us ate from the buffet. I then had an unpleasant incident with a woman from the group when I took a glass from the kitchen shelf for my drink. She took it from me rudely and made it sound as if I’d nearly committed a crime. She said she owned the hotel and that I had to obey her immediately. That’s a terrible way for an owner to treat guests. After I left, she sent a burly man after me to tell me to come back and apologize. He introduced himself as the head of hotel security and acted intimidating. It felt like the Russian 90’s in a peaceful Czech hotel. This is absolutely no way to treat guests. I’ve traveled extensively around the world, and real owners are usually quite humble with their patrons.

When we checked in, the rooms hadn’t been cleaned and were full of dust. There weren’t enough staff to help us, and each room had just one roll of bath tissue. They refused to provide more for any of the rooms. We were told they don’t clean rooms every day during a stay, and that each cleaning costs extra. The staff didn’t smile and had an attitude because we’re Arab. We’re paying for the hotel and everything is charged, so why should we pay more? If the hotel can’t handle people like us, they shouldn’t be working there.

We’ve stayed at this hotel twice, a week each time, and had lovely rooms in Boutique 315 and 208. The girls cleaned every day and changed the towels, and the sheets were changed on the third day. We chose full board and can only recommend it. The food was delicious. A big thank you to Oksana for her help and attentiveness, and to Yana for keeping the pool and sauna in order and entertaining everyone with her good mood. Thanks again to the whole staff for such a wonderful stay!
