Salvator Hotel Karlovy Vary

A jewel in the heart of a lovely town. We got a great welcome at this very nice hotel, and the people were kind. Everything was in place to make our stay perfect. One of my best.

We found the one-star negative reviews puzzling. They seem to come from petty, vindictive former employees, and misusing reviews that way is childish. The hotel itself is excellent and well located, with kind, friendly and professional staff. Rooms are clean and well equipped, and breakfast was plentiful and sufficient. We wholeheartedly recommend it and will definitely come again.

We had a good lunch, and the service was friendly. The end of the visit was unfortunate, though. When the server put the payment machine on the table, I had to ask for the receipt, and then noticed she’d already added the maximum tip. We would have left a tip anyway, so the money wasn’t the issue. It was how she handled it that felt dishonest, and she hurried us to pay. Owner, this is a good way to lose clients, so please speak to the small girl with blond hair who was serving in the afternoon. It’s not good for business. The food and service were friendly overall, just a bit unfortunate at the end. Good luck for the summer season.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, just stopped in for a beer and a snack. It’s a lovely place to sit outside and people-watch, and the staff were friendly with a good sense of humour.
