Hotel Veba

The pool area was amazing, and the newer building with reception and wellness facilities looked really nice. We stayed in rooms in another building, which were clean but felt quite old and could use an update. The restaurant was lovely, with good food and service. Breakfast had a limited selection, though it was enough for me. Hotel service was good, and it’s a really beautiful place.

The area is great for hiking, but plan ahead if you’ll need shops or activities after sunset, since many places in Broumov close around 16:00. We had a comfortable one-night stay in the outer building at Hotel Veba, and the staff were helpful. The bathroom floor did get flooded by the outdated shower, as others have mentioned, though hotel options nearby are limited. The pool and wellness rules were a real disappointment. Although the area is listed as open from 15:00 to 20:00, the last entry is at 18:30. We tried asking about access at 18:00 and got nowhere, so call ahead. I’ve attached a photo of some of the current fine print.

We came for a hunting trip and found the hotel clean, with professional and courteous staff. Because of our schedule, the restaurant kindly arranged an early breakfast. Lunch and dinner were excellent and reasonably priced. I didn’t use the spa amenities, but a friend did and said they were top notch. I’d highly recommend staying here, or stopping by for a meal.

Be careful before booking this hotel. Read all the small, easy-to-miss print. For instance, pool access is limited to one hour per person each day. I’d stay away.
