Lukas made our stay especially memorable. He was so friendly and even went out of his way to help me look for landmarks from my childhood here, including asking his father. It means a lot. We stayed at Hotel Praha for three nights in September 2025, and would choose it again whenever we’re in Novy Jicin. The hotel itself is beautiful, with neat, tidy rooms that have everything you need. The location is ideal for walking everywhere, close to the Town Square, train station, restaurants, and cafes. We also got to do the activities we’d planned, including the museum and Stary Jicin Castle. Breakfast was fantastic every day, and I highly recommend the food here. Ivan and Rosie (Australia).

The breakfast was gorgeous, and the staff were excellent. The hotel feels like a living reminder of better times, but it’s still charming and welcoming.

The cafe is picture-postcard perfect, and the hotel has an old-world charm that makes you imagine what it was like in earlier times. It’s right in the heart of Novy Jicin, just a one-minute walk from the main Old Town square. My bed was very comfortable, and the room was probably the quietest I’ve ever stayed in.

I’m sorry, but I can’t recommend it for now. The experimental food looked good on the plate, but the aroma was completely missing and the taste was beyond what I could understand. The restaurant interior also feels like it’s seen better times.

The goulash was very good, and the cake was excellent. The ceiling, with its ornate plasterwork, is spectacular. The staff were pleasant and spoke good English. Worth a visit, and I can recommend the cakes!
