Quality Hotel Ostrava City

We spent a fantastic weekend here with a group of families and kids travelling from Budapest, Hungary. The hotel is fairly new, clean, and looks great. The staff were wonderful, with hospitality and a smile that went beyond the usual service. Thank you for being so kind and flexible!

This is my first hotel review on Google, and the stay at Quality Hotel lived up to its name. I was very happy with both the rooms and the service. The room had everything I needed, even a little nail file after I broke a nail. In the breakfast hall, there's a wardrobe for your coat, so you don't have to go back to your room to leave it. Breakfast had plenty of choice, and everything I tried was good. The staff kept things clean and pleasant and made sure guests had a good stay. I recommend it.

The room was very nice, and the location is handy for short taxi rides. Breakfast was a letdown, though. The eggs weren't made to order and looked old, dry, and rubbery. When we arrived there were no pastries or butter, and none was brought out later. The hot food was mediocre too. Still, it's fine for one night.

The spa downstairs was my favourite part of the hotel, with saunas, little foot-soaking tubs, and a small but lovely jacuzzi. It was a perfect way to finish each day. I also enjoyed the food and atmosphere in the restaurant and bar, and the outdoor patio was a pleasant spot for evening meals. The friendly, helpful staff helped make up for the rooms needing upgrades. They need larger safes, a mini fridge, and more storage. The thermostat system definitely needs modernizing so guests can set the temperature in their own rooms. That's ridiculous. I'd rate it 6/10, which is 3/5 stars here. With upgrades, this could be a lovely place.
