Horský hotel Žižkova bouda

We spent a week at Žižkova Bouda with a very large group in the mountains. Peter and the staff looked after us with real care and respect, adapting to what we needed throughout the stay. The food was top notch, and the view waiting outside the front door every time was unbeatable. I highly recommend it!

It took an hour just to order and pay. The service was bad, and the waiter lied.

The terrace has a fantastic view, and at night you can see the stars. The location is absolutely brilliant. The woman at reception was amazing, very friendly and ready to help with anything. She seemed to be doing everything there, from topping up the breakfast plates to bringing drinks and food. Breakfast had everything you could want, and the restaurant food is a must try too :) There’s a 200 CZK national park fee to enter the area, charged by the Czech National Park, not the hotel. You can pay at a machine at the bottom of the hill, right next to the main skiing place. They send the instructions by email, and they’re really clear, so just follow them.

We waited 40 minutes for the food, then they suggested we hadn’t paid. They eventually found our receipt after a heated argument and tried to apologise, but by then it was too late. A waste of time.
