At 11 pm we had to find somewhere else to stay ourselves. When we arrived, the manager took us upstairs and opened a room that, to his and our surprise, was already occupied. It had been assigned to someone else. He then searched for another room but couldn’t find one because everything was booked. He said he’d been trying to reach us all day to say there was no space. When I asked why he’d brought us to the room knowing that, he said double bookings were common for him and we had to live with it. I’ve never experienced anything like that. Unbelievable. Just one thing to say: don’t go there.

The kitchen was unusable because the sink kept leaking, and the apartment was old, dirty, and noisy. There’s a bar right downstairs where people stay loud late into the night. The website makes the apartments look clean and new, but that wasn’t what we found. I really can’t recommend it.

What should have been a holiday became a stressful nightmare. The boiler wasn’t working when we arrived, so there was no heat or hot water. We told the staff on day one, but nothing was fixed despite repeated promises. After three days, we had to leave and find somewhere else ourselves, and received no compensation. The worst part was that when Booking.com got involved, the apartment staff claimed we hadn’t reported the problem. Their approach was very unprofessional. Think twice before booking.

For the price, it was worth staying there, and we were happy with the apartment. It was huge, in an excellent location, and the Wi-Fi worked fine. We were four people staying for two nights. We had to call the owner twice, first because nobody was there when we arrived to check in, then to ask for the Wi-Fi password. There was no shampoo in the shower, and we were short one towel. Hot water was available, though by the fourth shower there wasn’t as much. The toilet also needs better ventilation.
