Room 2 was above the kitchen, and opening its courtyard-facing window made the noise and greasy smell even worse. People also seemed to use the courtyard as a staff break area, and a door to what looked like a cold store kept slamming. The beds were in separate corners, though they did move them for us. The shower sprayed sideways as soon as you turned it on, sometimes right over the wall if the pressure was high. Washing my hair meant using one hand. Maybe there are better rooms, but this one was an outrage for the money. Awful.

The location was hard to beat, the price was reasonable, and the manager and staff were very friendly. The room itself was another story: food crumbs were left on the floor, along with a used coffee spoon, and there were bath towels but no hand towels. The table runner was stained, the walls were marked and badly needed paint, and the room wasn't cleaned every day. The exit barrier was a hassle. I had to get out of the car and ask someone in the restaurant to open it each time, since I couldn't get out before it came down. Also, the stairs are very steep, so anyone with sore feet should be careful.

Breakfast was really good, and there's parking right in the courtyard. The location is excellent too. Some things in the room were broken, and it felt a little dated.

You can eat there without booking ahead, and the service is quick and friendly. Everything was clean, as it should be. Service like this is almost unheard of in Germany these days.

We were staying somewhere else this time, but ended up finding our way back here. The food is great, the Pilsner beer is excellent, and the staff are lovely. Thanks again. Next time I stop in Pilsen, count on me for a change. I'd recommend it.
