4 Arts Suites

I wouldn't book 4 Arts again. The room, Amadeus, was spacious with a high ceiling, and the central spot put attractions, cafes, shops and transit within a few minutes' walk. But being on the first floor meant street noise all night in this tourist area, and the apartment wasn't well insulated. Higher floors might be quieter. The bathroom smelled bad. We put out the “take our trash” sign on day two, but neither the rubbish nor the room was cleaned, and the towels weren't changed during our three-night stay. There wasn't even bottled water or hotel slippers in the room. It was warm, which was nice in winter, but the electric heater made the air very dry and uncomfortable.

The location was a perfect starting point, with everything close by, and we had a great time staying here. The room was really nice overall. The shower needs attention, though. A tiny turn one way made the water extremely hot, and a small adjustment the other way made it extremely cold.

One good thing at arrival in Prague: although check-in was at 15:00, the room was ready early and customer relations let me check in. The rest of the stay raised concerns about access and communication. Around 21:00 on the first evening, an attendant woke me about a bathroom ceiling leak affecting the flat one floor below. I said there was nothing wrong in my room. Another attendant came perhaps 30-45 minutes later, woke me again, then opened the door himself while saying he was a technician there to check the bathroom. My whole family was worried that people could enter at night using their passwords without calling or asking permission. I can understand a visit during the day, but not in the evening. The following day, while we were out, silicone repair work was done in the bathroom without telling me. The smell filled the room, and it wasn't left clean as I'd left it. On our third day, there seemed to be another technical visit, again without notice. The sink was left full of dirt and hair, perhaps from a cloth used for cleaning. Please tell guests before doing work in their room and leave it clean afterwards.

Adrez customer service was excellent. They answered all my questions promptly and helped a lot with arranging long-term city parking before we arrived. When the code opened the courtyard but failed at the room on a Saturday night, one quick call got us inside within minutes. I really appreciated the help. The location near the Old Market Square and Palladium Mall also worked well for walking to sights across the city.
