987 Design Prague Hotel

The hotel was nicely priced, clean, and had an elevator. My room had the usual things like air conditioning, a minibar, and TV, plus a surprisingly huge bed and a good-sized shower. The windows seemed damped, and I didn't hear much tram traffic, though I'm not very sensitive to noise. Breakfast had a good selection and two coffee machines with different strengths, which helped with my German coffee addiction. Staff were really nice and communicated mainly in English. At check-in they welcomed me warmly, answered questions about food and sightseeing, and gave me a map with a walking route drawn on it. The hotel was easy to get to, one or two minutes from the train station, so you can leave your bags and head into the city. Old Town is only about five minutes away, with plenty of tram and subway stations nearby. It was my first time in Praque. Some locals told me the area was a bit of a druggie place, though I didn't notice it much. There are also gym and spa options at a neighboring hotel for a small extra charge. I can recommend it.

The bathroom setup was the only slightly odd part of my stay. The shower and toilet each had their own door straight off the room, while the sink was out in the main living area. I was on my own, so it wasn't much trouble, though I can see it being awkward for people sharing a room. I don't know whether every room is arranged that way. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was very good, and the staff were kind and helpful. The hotel was clean and centrally located in Prague. I enjoyed staying here and would recommend it, even if the bathroom layout might cost it half a star.

Breakfast had loads of choices and was really good. I also liked the room, especially the bathroom, where the shower and WC were separate, with Ritual’s toiletries. The main sights are only about 10-15 minutes away. If I return to Prague, I'd stay here again.

The gym was probably the best hotel gym in the city, based on my years of coming here for work. It's actually an external gym two minutes down the road, with full machines, squat racks, a bench press in the basement, plenty of dumbbells, and a sauna. They also have fresh protein shakes, bottled brands, and coffee. Back at the hotel, breakfast had enough options, the new bed was really comfortable, and I didn't hear any noise. The front desk was very welcoming. I appreciated being able to check out late at 12, and I'd definitely stay again.
