Alveo Suites

My stay at Alveo Suites was very disappointing. The room was in poor shape, with a damaged bathroom, unpleasant flooring partly covered in blue rubber, a bad shower, water inside a drawer, heating that didn't work properly and a TV with no picture. I was told I'd be moved to a “better” room, but the replacement was actually worse. The Front Office Manager was vulgar and disrespectful, which made an already uncomfortable situation worse. This fell far below acceptable hospitality standards.

It's clean and cozy, close to the city centre, with a nice bed, kitchen and amazing bathroom. The kitchen smelled a bit strange at first, though, and the room needs an AC because it was a bit cold at night.

To check in, check out or have breakfast, you have to walk 600ft/200m to different buildings, where the staff I spoke with were arrogant. The bathroom was small, about 4x8ft, moldy and had a dirty air filter, as shown in pictures 1, 2 and 3. The kettle had to go on the floor to be used, which is great with kids, as picture 4 shows. The faucet leaked into the cabinet, in picture 5, there was a three-legged ventilator, and the refrigerator was empty. When I asked about things, the very arrogant receptionist told me I should look at the pictures of “the hotel”, so here are pictures of the rooms. Breakfast was overcrowded, with too few items, and there was only ONE coffee machine, so getting coffee meant a 15-minute line. I DO NOT recommend this place. If you're staying in Prague, go somewhere else.

We really enjoyed our stay in these apartments. They were clean and had a well-equipped kitchen, and the mattress was very comfortable. The location was great, too, and the people were friendly. I'd recommend staying here.
