The fried cheese was spectacular, and the beef tartare was amazing too. The food felt like genuine traditional Czech cooking, and I’d easily give the place five stars. Our server deserves a special mention: they were managing everything alone while about six tables arrived because of the rain, and still did a wonderful job. Great service and food, definitely worth a visit.

We were in Prague for three days and ate at this restaurant twice, which says plenty about how good it was. The pork knuckle was amazing and easily enough for two. My favorite was the grilled pork tenderloin with pepper sauce and spinach. So good!

I’ve never left a review before, even though I’ve eaten at some lovely places, but this one stayed with me. I only came for a meal with friends while we were on holiday, not to stay here. The food has a real homemade feel. The apple Strudel in my photo was just like the kind my grandma would make, and eating here felt warm and homely. It really lives up to the promise of authentic food. The staff were just as welcoming and lovely. In many places in Prague I’ve felt treated differently as a tourist, but here I felt even more welcome. Thank you so much.

The pig knuckle was so tender it fell apart as I ate it. We found the restaurant busy, mostly with locals, while we were on holiday in Prague, and the food was superb. The staff were friendly and the service was good. I’d recommend it for a traditional Czech meal.

(restaurant review) The food was okay, and the dark beer was nice, though the boar was a little dry. The signs on the tables make it clear that bills under 500 Crowns can’t be paid by card. What really bothered me was paying: the waitress said service wasn’t included, then took 50 crowns from my change herself. It was the only time on my Prague trip I felt scammed.
