Andel Apartments

We stayed four nights, and the attached restaurant served an excellent, very complete breakfast. The difference between the weekday and weekend service was disappointing: the woman serving us on weekdays was extremely polite and friendly, while the weekend server was rude, impatient with requests, and seemed very unwilling to help. It’s a shame the service varied so much between employees. The room itself had good infrastructure for traveling with a child, including a well-equipped kitchen, good wardrobes, and a washing machine. If you have lots of luggage, keep in mind there’s no elevator.

The old town is walkable from here, and there are grocery stores nearby. It’s also right by the tram and metro, and breakfast was good.

The apartments are in lively Smíchov, with Anděl metro and tram stops just steps away, so Prague’s main sights are only minutes away by transit. There’s plenty nearby too, including a large shopping mall, restaurants, and the famous Staropramen Brewery. The kitchenettes are spacious and well equipped, which can help save money. It’s a convenient, comfortable base if you value transport links and local activity over staying right in the historic center. A nice place for a new experience. Recommended.

We booked one room, but were sent to a completely different address. The receptionist was rude, useless, and unwilling to help. When we asked to cancel because this wasn’t what we had booked, she told us to go out on the street and cancel with the manager tomorrow. When we said we wanted to record the conversation, she hit my hand with the phone I was holding. The website says pets are free, but on arrival they charged us 15 euros a night. This felt like a scam.
