We’d absolutely stay here again. The hostel sits between the river on the right and the city centre on the left, right in the middle of town. The staff were very friendly, and the paintings and overall look inside made it feel comfortable and welcoming. We had an amazing July stay. The rooms were mostly clean, though some of the furniture seemed a bit overused.

The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were kind, sociable, and keen to help with any issues. Our receptionist was cheerful and spoke several languages. The hostel was very clean and nice, with free breakfast, reasonably priced dinner, and lots of other free essentials to make the stay comfortable.

The staff were really lovely, and the location was great. Lots of places are within walking distance, and the tram and metro aren’t far away. But there’s no mention of how many stairs you have to climb, which isn’t ideal with a heavy bag. The toilets were the most cramped I’ve used. There were two toilets and two showers for over 30 guests on our floor, so sometimes the wait was long and painful. The beds could be more comfortable too.

I really liked the Warhol inspired kitchen and main hall, along with the tiny art details tucked away here and there. Each room has its own charm, and the atmosphere was amazing. The staff were super friendly and can help you find great places for food or coffee. While I was there, I also met some really cool fellow guests. If you get the chance, stay in for lunch or dinner.

We ended up spending one evening in the sitting room chatting, playing cards, and drinking beer from the hostel bar for 1€. There are two sitting rooms with great people around, as well as two kitchens and several bathrooms, so we never had to wait for a shower. Dinner at the hostel is offered for 4€ (100 czk), and it was really good. All the food served there is vegetarian. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms tidy. It’s an old house, so some repairs are needed, but the hostel looks great overall, and it’s amazing being surrounded by art. We had a great stay and I’d go back!
