The staff were helpful throughout. They arranged refrigeration for my injections and quickly handled a group of young men in the neighboring room who were partying, shouting, banging doors, running around, and playing loud music. Breakfast was fine if you got there early, because food wasn’t replaced once it ran out. There was plenty of nice bread, plus small choices of cheese and meat, cooked items, and fruit. The coffee machine was good. We booked at the last minute for a bargain. The bedroom was spacious and clean, with white bedding and reasonably comfortable beds. Two bulbs were out, but since we only used the room for sleeping, it wasn’t a big problem. The fan came in handy on a warm night. The fridge didn’t work, which was disappointing and one reason we’d chosen the hotel. The location suited us well, and the room was okay for what we needed. The bathroom was clean but cramped and old, and it really let the room down. It badly needs updating, perhaps into a small wet room. The first towels were worn and not soft or fluffy, though the replacements were much better. The staff spoke reasonably good English. For the bargain price, central location, and what we needed, it was a fairly good stay, cheap and cheerful.

Sergiy at the front desk was especially kind and helped me with everything I needed. The room had a bathtub with hot water and strong pressure, a welcome comfort after long days exploring Prague. There are security cameras on the floors, which even the neighboring four-star hotel didn’t have. The tram stop is a short walk away, and I found the tram a more convenient and charming way to get around than the metro. Supermarkets, banks, and cafés are close by too. Breakfast was tasty, with fried sausages, bacon, and a coffee machine that made good coffee. I was surprised by how much comfort and care came with such a budget price. The service was far better than I expected for the cost. A great find!

There’s lots to do nearby, with restaurants and shops in a quiet Prague 6 neighborhood away from the busy Prague 1 area. If you don’t mind walking, Prague 1 is about 45 minutes to an hour away. The route through Letna Park is lovely and gives you city views. Our room was large and spacious, with a clean bathroom and hot water. The staff were friendly and attentive, and breakfast was very good. We really enjoyed staying at Hotel Meda and would recommend it to friends and family visiting Prague.

The hotel is handy for the metro and tram, with markets, KFC, pizza places, and other restaurants nearby. You can buy transit tickets in an app, but we used the ticket machine. A 30-minute ticket costs 1.5 euros and works on all transport, including the funicular. There’s also a 24-hour ticket for 6 euros, useful if your schedule is packed. Reception staff were kind and attentive, and one spoke Russian. The elevator was convenient after all the walking in Prague. Our room was cozy and spacious, with one large bed and a private bathroom. There were some minor damages, like a broken-off piece of shelf and a cracked mirror. There was no shampoo, and only one large towel per person. Breakfast was included: scrambled and boiled eggs, sausages, salad, yogurt, two kinds of tea but no green tea, machine coffee, cheese, ham, bread, butter, and cake. The hotel is decent, though I’d give it three stars.

The breakfast was surprisingly poor, so I’d suggest eating somewhere nearby. Otherwise, the service was nice and the prices affordable. The bedrooms were pleasant, with beds that were comfortable by my standards, and the bathroom was modest but tidy. The neighborhood was quiet, with a supermarket around the corner and the Vitezne namesto tram stop close by. It was relatively quick to get to Prasky hrad and Malostranska. For me, that was enough for a 4/5.
