Breakfast was decent, and the holiday-season price was fairly reasonable. The hotel is also close to the metro and the road out of Prague. But the room was cold: during our four nights, from the 25th to the 29th of December, temperatures dropped to -4 at night, and the radiator for our three-person room was weak and sometimes off. One bed was beside the window, which made it worse. The pillows were awful too. The detergent smell on the towels and bedding was overpowering and made the room feel suffocating. My child had an asthma or allergic reaction during our stay, so anyone with those health issues should be cautious about staying here. The thin walls also meant we could clearly hear the person next door using the bathroom. The hotel felt outdated, though that bothered me less. We booked through booking.com. It would help if the hotel arranged a few nearby spaces with the local council, or at least explained how to pay for street parking.

If you’re travelling on a budget and want privacy, this place works well. It’s in a quiet area, not far from metro A, and it was clean and sufficient for us. The hotel is basic and may feel dated to some, but I’d recommend it unless you’re looking for luxury.

For me, the 400-500 m walk to the metro was nothing compared with the 70 km we covered over those four days. It’s a lovely place and the price-to-quality ratio is very good. And picky eaters, just remember that breakfast with a coffee or two costs about the same as a paid room in the city centre.
