THEODOROS P.
After I booked, a message about the €200 deposit arrived just ten minutes later. The amount wasn't clearly shown in the house policy, but was tucked away under an "important notice." I couldn't cancel for free that same day, and they refused to return my money even though I was still a month from arrival, saying it was my fault. The payment page should have shown the deposit at the final step, but it didn't. If the money is returned, even partly, they say it goes back to the card after SEVEN days. For a budget stay, that's a huge amount of money to tie up when you're traveling on a budget. This business has lots of apartments in Prague and asks for a €200 deposit, for example in case keys are lost. Many reviews on TripAdvisor and Booking say guests are charged for damage they didn't cause. A very low advertised price may come with a catch. Filter for the lowest ratings on booking sites and you'll see MANY one-star reviews describing the same thing. Be careful.
