Black Bridge Hotel Apartment

The hotel has excellent facilities, but service and staff professionalism need work. On checkout day, our keycard had already stopped working before 9 AM, leaving us locked out while all our luggage was still inside. We were three people, but the toiletries and towels were only ever set out for two. Room service came every three days. On the third morning we asked reception to stock supplies for all three of us, but by evening there were still only enough for two. Communication between departments clearly needs improvement. Check-in was another frustrating example. My family and I arrived after a long journey, and reception disputed the amount due. I paid through Booking, but even after I showed the receipt, the receptionist made us wait for the hotel’s system to update before giving us keys. She also insisted on checking our passports and visas, and even tried to verify whether the visas were authentic. I’ve never had such a strict check-in in another country, and it left us feeling deeply mistrusted. We waited at the desk for nearly an hour, by which point the restaurant had closed. When we finally got to our room, the heating was off and it was barely 15 degrees inside. The blankets were very thin, too. The manager did eventually turn the heat on, but we had to sleep in our clothes. It was a very unpleasant start to our holiday.

The house was spacious, modern, clean, and cozy, and having garage parking was very convenient. Breakfast in the restaurant was great, and served at the table rather than as a buffet. The staff were lovely and let me have a late checkout because of work. Great place!

The staff took wonderful care of our group and couldn’t have done more. The golf course was very nice, and the rooms were clean and worked well. We’ll be back!
