Branik Garden

The room wasn’t ready when we arrived, and the owner didn’t show up for about half an hour. We were left outside in his garden with all our bags. The room was dirty and not private: to reach it, we had to pass through someone else’s room. The host was rude and pretty intimidating when discussing payment. I know a low room price doesn’t mean you should expect a Hilton Luxury suite, and I really try not to complain, but this place was awful. It’s just some guy’s house, not a hostel or hotel, and not in an airbnb way. You can get a room for the same price in Prague with staff actually there, cleanliness, and a private room.

The place was filthy and nothing like the photos. There was no hot water, just mattresses instead of beds. It felt like a workers’ hostel for Pakistanis or a squat. I wouldn’t recommend it!

The biggest issue was how dirty it was. Showering was a problem too, though the owner sorted that out. Otherwise, it’s nice and affordable, the owner is very nice, and getting to the city center is easy.
