New Hostel in Prague

The area is nice, and the tram and metro are just a few minutes away. For one night it was okay, but I wouldn’t want to stay longer and would suggest somewhere else if you do. Our room for two on the second floor was nice, and the receptionist was pleasant. There was still trash left on our table from the previous guests, even though room service had been in, since we clearly had fresh bed sheets. The cleaning staff were impolite, never greeted me back, and always looked grumpy. We only used the fridge, not the kitchen, and it was really full. The toilets were okay, but the showers were disgusting. I wore flip-flops while showering.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the hostel has a kitchen and a small common area. There are transport options, though it’s a bit far from the tourist spots and not very central. My experience overall wasn’t great. Before arriving, communication was difficult, and I wish the hostel administration had worked on finding solutions for customers more quickly. I booked the wrong dates at first and tried emailing and calling days ahead to change them. They kept telling me Booking.com should let me do it online, but I couldn’t, even though I’ve changed dates online many times before and knew where to look. I had to lose that money and make a new booking for different dates because the hostel staff weren’t helping. On the night I arrived, the door didn’t open with the check-in instructions. I called the numbers several times, but nobody answered. I figured the staff only worked until 22:00. I was left outside alone for a few minutes trying to work out where to go. I recommend having at least one staff member at reception at night to help in situations like this.

It was good value for the money, and the neighborhood felt safe. The facilities were clean, and the reception team was very helpful with transport arrangements. It’s close to Florec Station.

The staff were really helpful, and the hostel was clean and in a great location. I can’t fault it at all. Definitely recommend.
