Hotel Carlton

Service was friendly and professional, and we appreciated being able to leave our luggage on departure day and book a taxi through the hotel at a good price. The hotel's traditional decor feels cozy, and our room was spacious and well equipped. The air was the weak point, stuffy, as though the air conditioning wasn't working well. The location is good: a supermarket is next door, the tram stop is a five minute walk, and there are a few restaurants nearby, though the area is mostly quiet and residential. Breakfast was basic.

The people here were always smiling, polite and ready to help, which really stood out. We had a very good stay and would recommend the hotel. It was extremely clean and well located, with a nearby supermarket, small grocery shops and a tram stop for getting around the city. Breakfast wasn't very varied, but it was fresh and tasty. For a four star place, it'd be nice to have small extras like cotton swabs, disposable bathroom slippers and shower caps, which were missing.

The staff were so helpful, and the whole hotel was immaculate. Our room was spacious, with a very large bed and bathroom. Only awkward bit was the shower head, which reached just waist height. The minibar was great, and breakfast had lots of good options. We didn't get to try the bar, since it was open 5pm-10pm. Good spot, far enough from the bustle but near a tram stop, with the old town only 10 minutes away.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with loads of pastries, fresh bread every day, cheeses, scrambled eggs and fruit. The poppy seed cake was just right, not too sweet, and I loved it. The Carlton Hotel is in a safe-feeling neighbourhood with plenty of cafés, restaurants and quick food nearby, plus a large supermarket across the street and easy public transport. Prices here are much better than in the city center. Staff were extremely polite, welcoming and ready to help with anything. We had a wonderful stay and I'd definitely recommend it in Prague.
