Hotel Čertousy

The breakfast was a real highlight, with a good range of Western food, excellent espresso, and some of the best fried eggs I've had in a hotel. We also enjoyed a quiet morning stroll around the lake. We stayed one night at Dvůr Čertousy, arriving around 9:30 pm in late November, and the kind receptionist offered us a spacious two-storey quad room. The old farmhouse has lots of character, while still being extremely clean, and the beds were wonderfully comfortable. Heating worked perfectly in both the room and common areas, which I appreciated on a cold night. We didn't get to try dinner at the restaurant, though the menu included several kid-friendly Western dishes.

The room and breakfast were great for the price. We really enjoyed our stay, with friendly, helpful staff and relaxing views and atmosphere.

I've never had a hotel experience this bad, despite traveling often for work. It was really hot, and the room only had a tiny fan. Check-out was the worst part. The company credit card failed, which had never happened before, so I needed to get my personal card from my wallet in the room. They wouldn't let me go get it because they said I might run away. It was an impossible situation. The staff weren't kind, and their English was very poor. I won't return. There are better and cheaper places around.

John, the receptionist, was a star. He was so helpful and accommodating and did everything he could to make our stay memorable. Breakfast was great too. We wanted vegetarian food, and the attendants were very friendly and made us one of the best cheese omelettes. We had a great experience here, 10/10.😊❤️
