I paid around £59 a night for three nights in May, traveling alone, and the value was hard to beat. My room had a single bed, private shower bathroom, amenities, air conditioning, a desk, wardrobe, hangers and a safe deposit box. Breakfast was included. The spread wasn’t huge, mostly fruit, cold meats and pastries, but it was buffet style and fair for the price. What made the location especially useful was being able to pop back to the hotel near the main sights to drop things off or take a break. I could see Charles Bridge from the room, and it was quiet enough at night. I walked across at sunrise on my last day. Malostranska Metro A line and Malostranske Namesti Square, with its tramlines, are both just a few minutes away. The area felt safe, and after reception staff left at 7pm, entry needed a key card and PIN. The desk staff were great at check-in and check-out, and let me leave my luggage for the day. Rooms are cleaned daily if needed. I can’t fault it as a budget option in Prague, and I’d recommend the hotel and area. I’ll definitely check whether Hotel Certovka is available when I return to this beautiful city.
