Hotel Charles Central - Czech Leading Hotels

The hotel’s spot beside a metro and tram station made getting around Prague easy every day. Our room was clean, nicely furnished, and had plenty of room for luggage, with a good-sized bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was varied and delicious. I’d absolutely come back.

Paulina and Sohail at Reception were especially helpful, pointing us toward the places we needed to see and suggesting a nearby restaurant serving local food. The hotel is also well placed for the Metro and other amenities. Our room was clean and just right, and everything had been arranged well. Breakfast was cozy, nicely prepared, and had a good range of choices. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it.

Breakfast was probably the only normal part of this hotel. The location wasn’t even that great, just above the Metro station, and we could barely squeeze into the old elevator. This was the worst stay we’ve ever had and the worst part of our honeymoon. The room looked nothing like we expected from the photos. The bed was ugly, the bathroom was tiny and nasty, and we had connecting rooms with a shared toilet and bathroom. The room was in bad condition, with cobwebs over the bed. Soap in the bathroom was literally diluted with water. We asked three times for slippers, and three different staff members said they’d bring them shortly, but nothing came for three days. We never got a toothbrush either. We also asked for one large sheet and didn’t get it during those three days. We were willing to pay extra for the best room and asked for an upgrade, but the one we saw was basically the same, just with more beds. The staff were friendly, but the service and promises came to nothing. Avoid this place if you don’t want your time and mood ruined.

The room had what we needed and was clean, and the staff were professional and helpful. Breakfast offered plenty of options. Tram and metro stops are right outside, and the old town is close enough to walk to. We had a great stay at the Charles Central and would come back. Easy to recommend.
