City Apartment

The Deluxe apartment was massive, even better than the listing details suggested. Prague is a great city, too. There's a nice little restaurant just across the road, with great food at good prices.

We spent seven nights in a Deluxe Apartment, booked quite late at £115 a night, so it felt pricey. Booking earlier through City Apartment's website can mean cheaper rates and a complimentary airport transfer. The apartment was clean, spacious, nearly newly renovated, and had all the facilities we needed. It sleeps four, though there were only three of us. Anastasia at reception welcomed us and patiently explained nearby sights, supermarkets for everyday things, and how Prague's transport works. Charles Bridge was a 10-15 minute walk along Vltava River, with the Old Town another 5-10 minutes beyond it. A one-day pass was easy to buy at the tram stop about three minutes from the apartment. A few things were bumpy: the safe didn't work, the floor was a little dusty when we arrived, housekeeping only came every five days, and by day two we were short on toilet paper. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Don't exchange CZK at the airport. The information book points to the best and safest exchangers in the city. We also enjoyed the restaurant across from the apartment, and the booklet lists other places to try.

Beautiful and spacious, right in the center, and a great price. Absolutely amazing!
