The dust made it hard to breathe at night, and I woke feeling sick. Once I got some fresh air, that feeling passed. There were old stains all over the carpet, and the place smelled awful, with a lot of sketchy people and alcoholics around. Other tenants were fighting over money, too. We were charged huge fees for arriving late, enough that we could have paid for a better apartment instead. The owner yelled at us on the phone over a mix-up about where to meet, which was mostly his fault. After the towels went to the dry cleaning, our travel sack disappeared and a pair of socks was stolen. Worst place we’ve stayed.

After a long trip through heavy rain, I got to the property at 7:40 pm and was refused entry because, the host or staff said, I was too late. I had a booking, but they still wouldn’t check me in, and I was stranded in a city I didn’t know. The listing says it’s “18 minutes from Václavské náměstí,” but the place was extremely hard to find, tucked away with no clear signs. I had to book another hostel at the last minute after an exhausting, stressful day. I’m asking for a full refund, which they’re refusing to pay. I hope the owners or platform take action to improve the service so this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I tried to warn people away, even if the price seems cheap. Paying a little more for a better location and staff who are more accommodating would be worth it. The hassle just isn’t.

The room was filthy and nothing like the photos. The shower was in the kitchen beside the grill, so we had to wash next to the plates, glasses and mugs. The man asked for another 10 euros and promised to return it, but never did. When I asked how to operate the washing machine, he didn’t know, and it was very old. He said he needed to clean the room, so we went out, but when we got back it was still dirty and he hadn’t done anything. When we arrived, he offered either to let us stay or give us a refund. We were exhausted from the trip, so we chose to stay. He knows his rooms are so bad, which is why I do NOT recommend this place at all. He says I never stayed in his room, but I posted photos so you can see it’s true. Watch out for this man.

There were extra charges we only learned about after making a non-refundable booking. The smell, the people, the lack of cleanliness and the general comfort were all bad. Lots of sketchy people around, and they smelled bad too.

There’s no real flat here, just a shabby, smelly bedroom with six beds crammed into it. The room looked worn out and repellent. There was no desk, table, chair, cupboard, shelf, or anything else you’d expect in a normal hotel room or flat. The walls hadn’t been freshly painted, and the windows, floor, walls, and “kitchen” looked untouched since the Iron Curtain fell. The place was the opposite of well equipped, with only old, worn out equipment and no amenities. When I asked for a desk or table and a chair, the man on the phone made it clear no one would try to provide them. The middle-aged gentleman who let me in didn’t speak any foreign language and smelled of alcohol. I want to stress that this is an unrenovated, smelly bedroom, and it feels and smells much worse than it does in the photos. It may be the most deceptive accommodation listing in Prague. It’s a shame to advertise such a lousy place. The nightly price is nowhere near fair or justified. Nobody should stay here, even if it were free. You never see the owners. They send repetitive emails asking several times when you’ll arrive and make phone calls, both in English. Their way of communicating is strange, ranging from disorganized to aggressive accusations. In their replies to honest reviews they say things like “This guest has stolen door. Unimaginable.” and “Never again I will host these people.” Normal hosts don’t talk like that. The place falls below any acceptable standard and may be the worst deal in Prague. The owners seem to have no interest in investing in the room or giving customers a fair deal. I doubt those few top ratings are real. There’s nothing “exceptional” or “wonderful” about this misleading listing. The room is basically a bed hall, uncomfortable, with minimal furnishings, five beds, no wardrobe, and a repurposed storage closet as an unappetizing little kitchen with no water connection. There’s an impractical old bathroom, shabby interior, and very difficult communication with a host who makes up accusations against guests who dare criticize this unacceptable, musty bed hall.
