Freedom rooms and apartments

For the price, this is a great central spot for shopping and sightseeing, close to Wenceslas Square and Old Town. There's a market across the street on Jecna, a pharmacy downstairs, and Costa Coffee at the corner of the fork. The price is excellent for the location compared with nearby hotels. The downside is that the room capacities seem exaggerated. We booked one of the building's larger rooms, listed for six, but it would be more comfortable for three adults, one child, and one toddler. Bedding was only provided for two of us, even though the room was meant to sleep six, so you may want to bring your own.

The flat and location were fine, and when we had trouble with the entry codes, the staff sorted it out quickly, in 20 minutes. But the exit door code they gave us was wrong, and so was the code for getting the key, meaning we had to call twice. The WiFi password in the apartment also didn't match the one on the paper, and we were tired of calling about bad information. The description said towels were provided, but there was only one small bathroom towel, so we had to buy one. Bring your own just in case. The shower smelled, so we kept the door closed. Apart from that, it was an okay stay.

I booked and paid for an apartment in advance, then arrived on time as agreed. The building was dirty and clearly under reconstruction, with materials lying around. Inside, the room was completely filthy, with lots of empty bottles and something that looked like blood, or who knows what, on the sheets. There was nobody to speak to except a cleaner in the hallway, who told me to call the manager and ask for a refund. I tried the number a few times with no answer, then got a text saying they'd send the cleaner. After that disgusting treatment, I didn't want a cleaner, just my money back because nothing was as agreed. They said a refund wasn't possible due to privacy and policy, and offered me only a sale, which I won't accept. I'm waiting for a resolution from booking. Never ever go there.

It's close to Prague attractions like Charles bridge, national theatre, and national museum, but the main street is a bit too close and it's loud. It gets too hot inside without airconditioning, so opening the window means dealing with the noise. You have to choose what works for you.
