A great spot for a stag or hen do.

The area is nice, with a pleasant courtyard, and it’s close to the city center. Inside, though, our room and bed linens were dirty. There was no hostel representative that evening to ask for a room change, and parking was expensive. We could hear people talking and snoring in neighboring rooms. The bathroom was shared and had two stalls as well as showers.

It’s a pleasant 15-minute walk down to the old town, and the hostel is also near a metro station and tram stop. There’s no receptionist, so you check yourself in using the instructions sent by email. The rooms are small but clean and cozy, with only a few people in each. I never had to wait for the shower or toilet. There’s a kitchenette, and a hairdryer is provided in the room.

For an overnight stay, it’s good value and close to the center. The shower could be better equipped. Parking is available, but there’s room for only two or three cars and it costs 20 euros. If a spot is available, book it: nearby city parking is reserved for locals, and the receptionists, who seem tired of clueless tourists, may not explain that. There isn’t another way to park nearby.
