Hostel Hlavkova

The rules here are unbelievably strict compared with other dorms in Prague, and the receptionist was very rude. Avoid this place and Strahov at all costs.

All the tourist spots are within about 1 km. There's a gym, and the kitchen is shared by the whole floor. I stayed in a comfortable room shared by two people, about 200 square feet in size. This may be the cheapest dormitory in the city center. Students can apply for accommodation here; I can't say how it works for others.

The kitchen was laughable, and the bathroom facilities weren't cleaned well. The towels provided were only hand towel size, so bring your own. When I arrived, my assigned room was full of rubbish. I asked to change rooms, but they firmly refused.

The room was unbearably hot, almost like an oven, and the windows were terrible. The mattress was hard, the rooms looked ugly, and there were little worms. The bathrooms were so bad I couldn't even shower, and there was no locker for privacy. The Booking photos look much better than what you get. It was the worst experience of my life, even my dog has better conditions. This place should be banned. One star is too much.
